I finally did get the tree up, so I am felling a little more like it might be the holidays. Last week, it seemed like I had so much to do for work that it made sense just to skip the holidays all together. But I put in an extra couple of days over the weekend to get where I need to be for upcoming workshops, so I am feeling a little better - I may actually survive.I always dread putting up the tree (a lot of work), but once I get going on it, it always puts me in a better mood. I love my tree - it is a wonder of snow and ice. It has "Edelweiss" (actually just some artificial white flowers that look like Edelweiss), glass icicles, and lots and lots of glass and crystal ornaments that make it look like it is covered with ice and snow. I have so many beautiful glass ornaments - all of them clear glass, or a few that have some white or gold accents. It has taken years of collecting to amass them. I remember having to wait a few years for after Christmas sales to get enough to actually put up the themed tree. But since then, the collection has REALLY grown. I've never seen another tree anywhere with so many unique ornaments.
So, now that I'm in the Christmas spirit, wonder when I will find time to shop? How about you - is your holiday season off to a good start?
