The Colonial in Jackson

We had dinner last weekend at the Colonial Restaurant in Jackson. Always great food, not crowded and a wonderful atmosphere. The special on the weekend is usually prime rib - but I had a filet, either is really good.

If you're looking for a unique place for dinner in Southern Ohio soon, try this place. You'll love it....

The Colonial Restaurant is under new management as of January 7, 2009. The new managers, Amanda and Kurtis Strickland, have a new menu that reflects the way the Colonial was in the old days but with a more casual atmosphere. Pan fried chicken is back for the Wednesday dinner special, Thursday is Italian dinner night, and Friday and Saturdays feature Prime Rib and Seafood dinner specials. The Colonial is once again serving the best prime rib in the area. Some additional changes include breakfast on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, all homemade salad dressings, bread, desserts, and most food. If you haven't been to the Colonial since January 7, 2009 give it a try, you'll be impressed.
